I'm about to embark on a 6 week trip to Costa Rica for an international environmental law program. I will be living in San Jose, Costa Rica and attending classes at the Universidad de Costa Rica, and of course traveling to all ends of the country! While I'm there, I will be taking a class on international & comparative environmental law, comparative and international watershed management, and a skills lab. Those who knew me in college know the Environmental Science nerd in me is really, really excited right now.
I promise updates about the excitement and undoubtedly laughs and awkward moments as I try to remember high school spanish, get lost on the bus system, and likely catch some weird disease after trecking through the jungle.
My first real adventure (aside from getting there) will happen this weekend, as I am going on a 2 day whitewater rafting trip down the Rio Pacuare, which should be a blast!
I've stocked up with sunscreen, bug spray, my chacos, and my backpack. I'll be in touch!
